FEATURED ARTIST: MARIANNA MICHAEL

arteecollage art collage london
Last week we revealed the winner and finalists of our Talent House competition. If you’re not already in the loop about this *slightly* exciting comp, then for the past two months we ran a “design-a-tee” competition. Entries from across the globe were submitted and thousands of you lovely readers voted. The results were revealed last week, and as part of the prize for the five finalists, we promised to dedicate a post to each of their original minds and the fruits of their creative labour.

First up we have Marianna Michael, who wowed us with her structural, and intriguingly obscure graphic print (pictured below).

When creating prints and design-led work, Marianna looks to architecture for inspiration. Working on progressing with this theme, Marianna applied her admiration for complex structures in order to design a print for Arteecollage. What’s also a standout notion for us is how her winning design took particular references from previous print projects that she has worked on (pictured throughout).

Of her prints, Marianna says that London architecture especially gets her artistic juices flowing, and when working on the competition she developed her print by hand and decided to place the image in the centre of the t-shirt for a striking look.

Part time blogger, part time artist and part time designer, Marianna also divides her time admiring fashion and performance, as well as rustling up baked goods. How she then finds time to make breathtaking collages based on her current obsessions is beyond us. Take a look at her most recent cool creations:

As well as imaginative collages that fuse whimsical vibes with nostalgia, Marianna is indeed an uber talented print designer, which is why we made her our first runner-up and why we would love to collaborate with her in the future.

RESIDENT BLOGGER: SOPHIE MAYANNE GETS ARTY

We love hearing about the new and creative ways you ace customers wear our collection of cool graphic tees. Not just for men, our range also fit women impeccably as a boyfriend tee. The loose, comfort fit lends a new dynamic to nonchalant chic to a contemporary wardrobe and here’s the proof, courtesy of our lovely resident blogger Sophie Mayanne.

‘Get Arty with Arteecollage’, by Sophie Mayanne

As an artistic individual I’m continually inspired by the world around me – events, music, arts and culture, but my inspiration is primarily fuelled by the world of fashion – the new and innovative designs that clothing outlets, fashion brands and designers create on a daily basis.

Recently, something new – something I could not resist – caught my eye: the Arteecollage Graphic Tee.
A collection of soft, neutral colours infused into a graphic illustration, detailed and beautiful in its design, this t-shirt has the capacity to reflect any creative personality or individual. Universal and versatile, this Arteecollage printed T-shirt offers a multitude of styling opportunities.

I personally choose to wear my t-shirt on a Sunday because, being made of modal fabric, the t-shirt offers comfort and ease for long-day visits to galleries or submerging myself in my artwork.

But don’t fret if you don’t define yourself as artistic because, styled alongside Arteecollage’s modal leggings and a pair of high tops, you’ve hit that perfect urban street-chic.  Alternatively, for a more polished look, combine the t-shirt with a high-waisted skirt or tailored shorts for the perfect opportunity to demonstrate your individual style at work whilst still adhering to rules.

Arteecollage add new designers to their collection frequently, and have even recently offered the chance for the public to design a new graphic t-shirt – the designs are sure to be must have items in your wardrobe.
An added initiative to buy the Arteecollage graphic tee is the fact it sells from £9.50 – a wallet friendly price. So get arty with Arteecollage and inspire your wardrobe, yourself and the world around you with an Arteecollage printed tee!

MENSWEAR INSPIRATION: TYLER THE CREATOR

Never have we been more envious about a closet of cool graphic tees than whenever we lay our eyes on Odd Future frontman Tyler The Creator. In various editorials, music videos, or even just being papped at an event, we cannot help but swoon over his quirky array of wild graphic prints and eye-grabbing palettes that he always seems to don.

Tyler’s off-kiler and standout T-shirt style also caught the eye Photographer royalty Terry Richardson when they collaborated on a shoot for The Golf Wang pop -up store earlier this year – nifty.

So besotted with The Creator’s penchant for outlandish cat, dinosaur and leopard printed T-shirts, we’ve decided to dedicate this entire post to the wonderfully eccentric rapper and producer.  To look like the charming Mr Creator check out our collection of men’s graphic tees.

Here’s the man himself, alongside fellow Odd Future member Frank Ocean.
